This renovated Kiawah Island vacation rental is only 25 miles from the historic city of Charleston on Kiawah Island’s West Beach. Being located on the first floor and only a short walk to the beach and Cougar Point golf course make this the perfect location for your Kiawah Island stay. When you enter this villa, the mirror-walled hallway with an entry table gives an open feeling as you make your way to the main living area. There is a full-size sofa sleeper and chair with ottoman in the living area. A corner cabinet houses a flat-screen cable TV with DVD player The main living area opens to the dining area with seating for four. The fully equipped kitchenette includes all stainless steel appliances and everything you will need to prepare meals during your stay. The spacious bedroom features a king-size bed with beautiful white furniture, including a large dresser with mirror, flat-screen TV with built-in DVD player, large walk-in closet, and attached bathroom with a large nicely tiled shower with an additional hand-held shower head. This bathroom can also be accessed from the hallway. The villa offers tiled flooring throughout. Most of the back wall of the villa can be opened up to let in the natural light and views through the large sliding glass door, which leads to the screened porch. A table with two chairs and two Adirondack chairs provide a comfortable place to relax. The washer and dryer are located in a storage room on the screened porch. Pets are not allowed and absolutely no smoking (screened porch included). The villa is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $150. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, and more – the choice is yours! During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. As well as close proximity to the beach (via Boardwalk 7), the screened porch was a nice place to relax day or night, with the soothing sound of the nearby fountain. The porch was a bit cobwebby though and could use a cleaning. The kitchen was very well equipped. One relatively minor glitch was the absence of wine glasses. Once I let the owner know a set of new glasses was very quickly delivered. It has been tastefully updated and had everything we needed and more during our stay. The bed was VERY comfortable, and the property management company was easy to work with. We’ve rented from several others and typically have a laundry list of check out protocols. It was so nice not having that! The condo is close to the beach, which we appreciated having a baby in tow. The condo is small. If you have two children and plan on them sleeping on the sofa bed, prepare for it to be tight. My husband and I felt a bit on top of each other just with an 8 month old. This condo is probably ideal for just 1 or 2 people. Also, it was very clean on a surface level, but when checking under the bed and behind the curtains at checkout, I found a plethora of dust bunnies and dead bug that had been there a while. Saw lots of wildlife including deer on the tennis courts. Condo was spotless and kitchen appliances were high quality. Loved the floors! Only negative was the bed, too soft and it squeaked. Wish I had know there is a place to a launch a Kayak (Mingo Point for a small fee) but was advised there was no access for boats on the island. Everything we needed was there. It was steps away from the beach, and we especially enjoyed the screened in porch. I would not recommend this for more than 2 adults. All of the amenities of the accommodations were very nice. A very comfortable bed. Just a short driving distance to all of the sights in Charleston, S.C.
