Two bridges offer convenient proximity to downtown Charleston, which is just 15 minutes away. Once completed, development will flourish and real estate prices only stand to increase.
The Johns Island Experience
The lesser traveled Johns Island is a barrier island bordered by Wadmalaw, Seabrook, Kiawah, Edisto, Folly, and James Islands. Perfect for boating enthusiasts, Johns Islands’ unique landscapes provide ample opportunities for waterfront living along the Intracoastal Waterway, the Stono River, the Kiawah River, and Bohicket Creek.
The produce grown locally on Johns Island makes up much of the unique flavors of Lowcountry cuisine. In fact, Johns Island is one of the largest tomato producers in the country. Local restaurants prominently feature fresh, local cuisine, making dining out on Johns Island is a memorable treat. Johns Island’s true claim to fame is The Angel Oak, the largest living oak tree east of the Mississippi River.
