House was clean when we arrived and spacious enough for three couples plus an older family member. Elevator was a neat surprise as a few in our party needed this! Big kitchen with double dishwashers and refrigerators! We loved the ice machines in the kitchen and bar areas. Short walk <10 minutes to beach and great location on the island for biking and exploring.

You will not be disappointed with this home! It is wonderful! We had plenty of room and lots to do for all our age groups! The only things I would have wanted to know prior to renting: 1) The game room is not accessible from the main house, only through garage. 2) The game room does not have a bathroom. 3) The freezer on one of the kitchen refrigerators wasn't working. The refrigerator and freezer combo in the garage was also not working. 4) The amount of provided bath towels is limited for the amount of people the house can sleep (so, as the mom to all... I was washing a lot of bath towels). None of these things cause me any hesitation to rent this home again. You are one home from the boardwalk to the beach. The pool and outdoor kitchen is amazing! The screened in porch with TV may truly be my favorite place in the whole house. The whole family had a blast!

The house is a great place for a large family gathering or for multiple couples. The kitchen has 2 of everything even dishwashers. The multiple game and gathering rooms are perfect and the outdoor kitchen and pool were exactly what we were looking for. While the house was clean overall it needed a deep spring cleaning and had a few maintenance issues. We hope they fix the issues so we can rent again

Our annual trip to Kiawah was again a great event. This was our second stay at 65 Surfsong. The house was perfect for our families and had all the accessories needed. Our stay did have a few bumps with the elevator not working for 4 days but was eventually fixed.The equipment credit with VayK was nice but the VayK bikes are not up to the quality we have had in the past. They did not have baskets and nothing was available for small children to ride(bike seat or cub trailer).

This is our second year in this house. For a large family group it is ideal. This house has everything...well equipped kitchen, lots of towel including beach towels, lots of entertainment options, pool table, ping pong, dvds, books, pool. The walk to the beach is not far at all.

The the layout was perfect and the upstairs rooms were perfect for the 6 teenagers that we had. I liked that there were two king bedrooms that were on opposite sides of the home and were away from the upstair bedrooms. The game room was a perfect hangout and we couldn't hear them at all. The location on the island was nice and beach access was very close. The outside cushions with all the trees stay dirty but you can't help that. I would recommend comfortable seating without cushions out back. The two refrigerators came in handy and we had no issues with the house at all. There was plenty of parking. We had six cars and it worked out great.

WE thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 65 Surfsong. It's in a great location. The house is huge and easily accommodates large groups. It has everything you could imagine. Lots of towels, well appointed kitchen, games, books and movies for adults and kids. Our favorite hangout was the pool table and ping pong table as well as the pool out on the deck when we were not hanging out on the beach. Hope to vacation here again.

Our family of 15 spend a tremendously enjoyable week at 65 Surfsong. The pictures do not do justice to this wonderful home. The home was planned to offer togetherness and privacy, even with everyone in the house we sometimes found ourselves playing Marco Polo. The house was spotless and very well appointed to meet everyone's needs. The landscaping offered a feeling of privacy even though homes were near to us. Our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool although the weather was cool. I can't think of any details that were left our of this home. TVs in every room, movies, books for all ages, game room, beach chairs, everything provided. The beach is just a short walk away and beautiful. Deer in the front yard. We always rent homes for our large family so this isn't our first experience but it was one of the best. We did have a slight problem with the elevator and help arrived in 15 minutes. Thank you so much.

Overall it was a great week in a great house. The condition of the home was excellent and description of the home was accurate: very spacious with 6 large bedrooms (4 of which have en suites while 5/6 have jack/jill bath). Game room, pool were all great benefits. The short walk to the beach was manageable and getting around Kiawah was easy with the various bike paths.

We have vacationed at Kiawah for 20+ years and this is one of our favorite homes-spacious, very clean, well-appointed/maintained home with a pool, outdoor kitchen, bathroom and shower, porches, well-stocked kitchen, large dining room, bar room with a tv, basement rec room-plenty of space for our family to gather! A short walk to the beach added to our fun.The property manager arrived as we were unpacking and helped carry our many bags into the house-a very welcoming gesture! Later in the week, one small maintenance issue was handled very promptly. We'll be back!

Our family has been coming to Kiawah for Summer Fun for 10 years and we are never disappointed. Each year we rent a different place, always looking for the one that we Would call perfect. This year we found it. 65 Sursong was just that, perfect. The owners went out of their way to make it feel welcoming. The furnishing, the art work, the home was just beautiful. It felt like you were entrusted with a good friends home so you wanted to are for it that way. It was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there so much. I loved that there was a picture of the family and their story about their home. It made it more personal. Like I said. Perfect!!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful house. It is huge and well equipped. With 2 ice makers we were able to keep all our cooler drinks cold at the beach. Although it is not ocean front, the nearby walkway and boardwalk make it a safe bike ride or walk to the beach, even for young kids. The pool, grill, outdoor bar area and screened porch were a great place to gather after the beach! And there were lots of indoor areas to play games or read a book. We had one leak problem and the rental agent responded quickly and could not have been nicer!

We had a wonderful week at Kiawah! 65 Surfsong is a great house and it suited our large family perfectly. The house was clean and well equipped, the basement pool and ping pong tables were a bonus. We had a problem with the garbage disposal and internet access but these issues were quickly taken care of with a call to your company. We have vacationed at Kiawah for many years and this year was by far the easiest check-in and check-out thanks to the phone app. What a great convenience!

Home was big and beautiful with only minor deficiencies. (The back deck and pool furniture were very dirty because of the trees and the Teflon pans had lost their coating so hard to cook with. But we would rent it again.
It was close to the beach, lots of beds and bathrooms and generally had everything you needed.

Unfortunately I had to back out of the trip last minute. The rest of my family had a great time though and I heard it was the nicest house they have stayed in. I would like to continue staying with Akers in the future. That will be tougher next year because our kids will start school earlier, thus negating the first week of " post season ". We would rate 65 Surfing a 5. House was fantastic. It was actually better in person than the pictures. In most cases it is the other way around. You may want to update the pictures on the website to better show all the house has to offer. It was also much closer to the beach than anticipated. Home owners clearly love their home and seem very welcoming to visitors (i.e. beach towels available in laundry room, beach chairs in garage, and beautiful herb garden).

This is the fourth time that I and my family stayed here. It was amazing yet again. They really great care of the property and the staff was available after hours to respond to a question.

Rented 65 Surfsong for a 4 couple getaway. House is beautifully appointed and a terrific layout for a large group. Gourmet kitchen was perfect for my wife who is a chef. Lots of room to spread out and large spaces to gather. Pool table and ping pong were a fun addition. 5 minute walk to the beach through tree shaded path. Look forward to renting this lovely home again.

We had a great time and the house was great. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we had plenty of room for everyone. During the Kiawah Island Marathon, we were able to discard some clothes because the house was along the course. It was easy to get to the race and get home from its location on Surfsong Drive.

Overall, all of us had a great time and enjoyed our stay 65 Surfsong.

THis house was perfect for the 10 adults and 6 grandchildren in our family. The 2 refrigerators and dishwashers were so appreciated. We also really appreciated the pool and ping-pong table in the bedroom. Eating and seating arrangements were great. Found the pool to be too hot and the chemicals too strong so talk to the maintenance company if that happens to you. Highly recommended, however.

This was our second year staying in this home to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Again, we had a fantastic time. There were a few relatively minor issues this year - e.g., fireplaces not working, central heat not working in one room, and light/fan not working on the porch. All items were adressed during our stay other than the fireplaces. Joe, the caretaker for the home, was fabulous about responding to our needs! Thanks again for another great stay!

This is our second rental of 65 Surfsong,this time for our daughters wedding.The house is just perfect for a large family gathering, we enjoyed the house once Ellis came over to install a,door alarm and fix the outside fireplace very promptly.We had 5 grandbabies under 5 staying with baby sitters through out the long weekend and had peace of mind with the pool on the deck.The house is very well equipped and laid out nicely for extended family groups.We will always think of this house as part of our family celebrations.

Wonderful long weekend with the girls! We enjoyed the heated pool, playing tennis, long bike rides and the easy access to the beach. We also went to the Family Circle Cup. I would defintely rent this house again because of it's location, kitchen with 2 refrigators and spacious bedrooms. This house would be great too for family reunions...2 large bunkrooms, pool table, pingpong, and game room.

The house was amazing for our group of 19, ranging in age from 15mths to 86. The bedroom setup was wonderful for all of the family groups that where there.The location is great a, very short walk to the beach. We used all of the living spaces.We did heat the pool for our stay and used it everyday.The kitchen served us well and we had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner , the 2 dishwashers were always in use and the 2 refrigerators held all the food we had for 20 for the week. My favorite spot was the porch with the gas fireplace.We will rent it again for our next family gathering.

We had a wonderful 4 day weekend at 65 Surfsong. The entire experience was postiive. From the moment we entered the house with lights on and soft music playing, we fell in love with the house. We had 11 people aged 7 months to 89 years and everyone enjoyed this beautiful home and setting. We loved your beautiful home. The home had everything and more than we could possibly need. The location to the beach was so close and the house had so many amenities. We joked that we just didn't have the time to find everything. The day before we left I discovered the wonderful herb garden. We were close to restaurants if we wanted to have lunch at the Ocean Course or Sanctuary and it was so easy to cook in your wonderful kitchen. We also loved riding the miles and miles of bike trails. Our family of 18 aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents loved our memorable stay at 65 Surfsong. The house is even more spacious and lovely than its photos. It has everything and more that we wanted - a backyard deck with BBQ and pool, close proximity to the beach, enough bedrooms for all of us, ping-pong and pool table in the basement. The kitchen has two of every appliance to make cooking for a crowd easy. The bike paths and small river across the street invite nature walks. We all regard our 3-night stay with gratitude for a fabulous vacation and memories to last a lifetime.

This home was absolutely beautiful and accommodated our party of 13 with more then enough room. I believe that we were around in "worm" season as being by the pool was a bit uncomfortable with all of the silk worms dropping down and they made quite a mess in the pool...but if they were not around it would have been perfect. Not a fault of the home owner or Akers Ellis. As well this was the most stocked kitchen we have had in a rented home, we truly had everything we needed to make this vacation enjoyable. Including the elevator which made it so easy for us as we have a special needs child in a wheelchair.

Thank you so much for your review of this house. We just love this home and feel it is THE perfect rental house for large families. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed everything! April is certainly the season for all things to bloom and those worms are everywhere but we try our best, along with the pool company, to make sure everything is cleaned up.

Our family had a wonderful time even with a rainy, cool week. All because this home was perfect. It is obviously very well maintained and tastefully furnished. This was the best equipped home by far that we have stayed in and it was extraordinarily clean. Kudos to the owners for their commitment to their property and to Akers Ellis for maintaining it so well.

Just spent a week at 65 Surfsong and it couldn't have been better. The first half of the week was spent with my 2 80+ yr. old aunts, my Step-Mom, SIL, and cousin. The second half was spent with 4 other couples in our Gourmet Group. The house was PERFECT for both groups! The kitchen was amazing and worked great for "too many cooks".
My only question is, when can we come back??

Hi, We loved the house it was beautiful and we really enjoyed the game area downstairs. I did want to let you know of 2 concerns. The pool looked clean when we got there, but no one ever came and cleaned it during the week. We did clean the skimmer, but by the end of the week the bottom of the pool was very dirty with debris. We did skim the top but had no way to get the stuff on the bottom. It also looked like algea was growing on the bottom. We also noticed when we went to do the dishes that the cleaners had not emptied the dishwashers they were full of dishes. As the homeowner asked we did remove all sheets from the beds and had the towels ready to be washed. Overall, the house was Great. I can tell the homeowner takes great pride in her house that is why I am letting you know. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Caroline
