Description

Under new ownership as of May 2022. This spacious, newly updated Kiawah Island vacation rental has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, access to a seasonal community pool, and is only about a 4-5 minute walk to the beach and Cougar Point Golf Club. There are many new designer touches throughout the entire cottage. There is all new lighting, ceiling fans, bedding, area rugs, kitchen floor and many more upgrades.

Located at the end of the street, this free-standing cottage has parking for 2 vehicles underneath. Walk-in to the open living area and be greeted by gorgeous, dark hardwood floors. The living area has a tray ceiling, 2 sofas, chair and ottoman and a new Smart 55” TV. There is also a serene sunroom with two oversized chairs with ottomans, floor to ceiling windows that are great for providing natural light. A brand-new butcher block breakfast bar with two bar stools was just added to the pass-through window into the kitchen. It is a great spot to grab a bite to eat, serve appetizers or use as kitchen prep. The fully equipped kitchen offers a new stove and microwave, white cabinets with plenty of space inside, and a food pantry.

The dining table seats 6, but has two additional leaves stored in the closet, and is a great place to enjoy meals together. There is a convenient “bar” armoire set up for coffee or beverages. The glass french doors in the living area lead out to a gracious sized screened porch with a lounge chair, a table, 4 comfortable swivel chairs, 2 end chairs and a new ceiling fan. A large laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer and a half bath complete the common areas of the cottage.

In the master bedroom, there is a king bed, new TV, access to the screened porch, reading chair and access to a private bathroom with a glass door shower. There is a “Cloffice”/Closet Office set up in the master bedroom as well as a reading chair and ottoman. Walk down a short hallway and you will find 2 other bedrooms. The first has a queen bed and access to a private bathroom with tub/shower combo. The second guest bedroom has 2 twin beds, a new TV and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Each bedroom has an oversized closet with plenty of storage space. A Pack N Play is available for guest use.

There are two bistro chairs and a table on the front deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sun come up. There is also a brand-new grill available for use in the carport.

The cottage is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet and Smart TV’s. There is an outside storage closet on the main level deck available for use. The seasonal community pool is approximately 55ft x 20ft and is a 3-minute walk from the cottage.

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $250. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more – the choice is yours!

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

This was a wonderful property and we really enjoyed our stay. My parents traveled along with my family and there was plenty of room for everyone. All with our own bathrooms too. Kiawah is a beautiful island!

Very pleased!!

We stayed in 1022 sparrow cottage the 2nd week of August. The bedroom and bathroom arrangement was perfect for our group of 6. The kitchen was sufficient. We like to cook and we were able to find enough pots and pans.
If you like TV watching, this cottage would be disappointing. All of the TVs were 19” and poor quality. We didn’t really mind because we don’t care that much about television.
A previous reviewer indicated boardwalk #5 was closest. Unfortunately, it was closed for construction. We used boardwalk #1and the walk was about 5-7 minutes. The pool was even closer and very enjoyable!
Akers Ellis and the Vayk fear was excellent!! They were professional and did everything as promised. We hope to return next year and will definitely start with Akers Ellis.

We had a great time on our spring break. The house had everything we needed. We especially loved the number of full bathrooms! It would have been an added bonus to have a deck to sit out in the sun but we enjoyed the screen porch. It was in a great location; close to the pool and beach. Now that I have had the pleasure of a pool we won't stay anywhere without pool privileges!
