The property features water views from every room including a wall of windows in the living and kitchen areas. The living room has space for the whole family to enjoy time together with a sofa and 4 chairs. Enjoy watching a movie on the large flat screen TV or easily walk out to the deck to take a dip in the infinity edge pool. The elegant dining room has a table for 8. The chef’s kitchen is fully equipped and features a large island with bar seating for 3, granite countertops, beautiful white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, comprehensive cookware/accessories, paneled refrigerator, a butler’s pantry, and breakfast nook that seats six.

The first-floor master suite features a king-sized bed, amazing view, 2 chairs, access to the back deck and a private master bathroom with his and her sinks, walk-in shower with multiple shower heads, and a soaking tub. Take the stairs or elevator to the second level, and you will find the remaining 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. The second master suite includes a king-sized bed, TV, 2 chairs, private balcony with water views, and private bathroom with his and her sinks, walk-in shower with multiple shower heads, and a soaking tub. The third bedroom features a king-sized bed, TV, 2 chairs and private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The fourth bedroom offers 2 queen-sized beds, 2 chairs, TV, and a private bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

The true highlight of the home is the outdoor space. The screened porch is an outdoor den with seating for 8 and the perfect place to take in the views, enjoy an evening cocktail or watch TV while keeping cool under the ceiling fan. The back deck offers breathtaking views, an inviting infinity pool, gas grill, and plenty of seating. Something extra special about this property is access to the private dock. It allows you to launch your kayak directly into the water or arrange for a boat rental during your stay. Watch dolphins, fish and crab or simply enjoy the best sunset on the island from a beach chair on the dock.

Guests may use elevator and have access to garage with an extra refrigerator, kayaks for guest use and a new ping-pong table.

The home is equipped with two separate washers, dryers, and high-speed wireless internet.

Please note that this property has exterior security cameras at the home's front entrance and overlooking the marsh. These cameras serve to protect both the property owner and rental guests.

This pool cannot be heated.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $300. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more â?? the choice is yours!

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

Great house with a dock

We loved this house. It was very well appointed with everything that we needed plus many extras like beach chairs, kayaks and boogie boards. The kitchen had all the extras like multiple large serving pieces and nice wine glasses. The layout was perfect for the seven of us and we had plenty of room. The owner of this house gave us great specific information about the house and whenever we had a question it was usually found in that information sheet. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in this house to make sure everything is as it should be. As in all houses there were a few things that needed tending to and we made sure that Akers Ellis knew of these problems. We loved being on the Kiawah River and having access to a dock.

Great house! Great week!

We rented this house as the host house for a family reunion. 6 of us lived in the house very comfortably. It was my wife and I and my 2 adult children, and my parents. There were 12 more family members staying in other rentals. The entire party spent most of their time at our house because of the pool, the river and the awesome house. Most of the meals were prepared and served there, too.

We would definitely rent 492 Old Dock again! Great house!
