1030 Sparrow Pond Cottage

The chalet had storage space for six bikes, umbrellas, beach chairs, under cover parking for two vehicles and a well stocked kitchen. We were six adults and were all happy with the cleanliness, check in and check out routine. 3 min bike ride and 10 min walk to the beach. We’d stay here again!

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our time in Kiawah. Very quiet, easy to get to the beach and back, and we were able to cook most meals in very easily. We took advantage of the bike rental credit and they were waiting when we arrived. We had everything we needed an would recommend the house.

Great little cottage perfect for a family of four. Teenage kids had their own rooms. Neat, clean and close to the beach and market . Would stay there again and have even recommended the cottage to co-workers already.

A group of running friends stayed here for the marathon/half marathon. It really is the perfect location. We had a short walk to the start/finish. And then a short walk to the beach for recovery!

Perfect house for a family vacation, loved the twin beds for kids and the counter seating in the kitchen for people to sit while someone cooks. Great kitchen and porch. Absolutely love the screened in porch, such a treat to be able to sit outside in the rain. Will come back & recommend others! Short walk to the beach and the house was CLEAN!! Outstanding amenities, surroundings, and location. Our family love 1030 Warbler at Sparrows Pond. The place is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and located short walks away from the beach, a private pool, and the Sandcastle owners’ facility. The wrap-around deck, screened rooms outside and gas grill were also pluses. The Freshfields shopping and entertainment complex was remarkable; our last night on KI was spend at an open air concert in the plaza there. We can’t wait to get back to 1030 Warbler!!

Hello Akers Ellis and Staff,
Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our stay at 1030 Wobbler
Ct. We have stayed on Kiawah every year for the since 1993. We have stayed
on East Beach, West Beach, and on Vanderhorst. We have stayed during all
seasons. This was one of the most relaxing areas at which we stayed;
Comfortable, quiet, and super close to beach and pool. Lunch at the club
house was within walking distance. Your rental coupon was a plus, we used it
for bicycles and beach chairs. We were pleasantly surprised that we saw not
one roach live or dead, on our property during our entire stay. A first for
us on Kiawah!
We plan to visit this area again.
The house did have a few minor issues. The rear slider and screen door need
maintenance. The large table on the deck is in need of repair or
replacement. A few boards on the deck need nailing down. There were only
four coffee cups so we took turns drinking when we had company. A few steak
knives would be nice. There is no potato peeler, but potato skins are healthy..
Scissors would be a plus. New oven mitts, pot holders, would be nice! We
used our sock. minor issues, no big deal. I'm getting silly now, sorry.
I would like you to know we would definitely stay there again! we really did
enjoy the home and the area.
And, Kudos to the Akers Ellis staff. They are professional, knowledgeable, available and patient.

This is a great house that has been recently renovated. It’s about three blocks from the beach, and the pool is about two blocks. Our wish list for improvements are ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms and on the screen porch, and mattress toppers/pads and better pillows on all the beds. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We had an amazing vacation. In the past we have always stayed closer to night Herron park. This was our first time staying in west beach and it will not be our last. The cottage was the perfect set up for our family and community pool was wonderful. The walk to the beach was manageable due in part to the beach gear credit that we used on a beach cart. (There is just a lot of stuff need when you take a 2 and 4 year old to the beach!). The cottage was clean and well maintained. My one and only issue were the full/queen beds were both very uncomfortable. The bed in the one bedroom (with the shared bathroom) was particularly saggy, bowed and noisy. Even with the beds being uncomfortable We would choose sparrow pond cottages again. (Hopefully with new beds next year!).

The house was well appointed with everything we needed. The size was perfect for the three of us and would have accommodated three more people quite nicely. Furnishings are comfortable and of good quality. The location within Kiawah is great, close to the beach and very quiet. Outdoor spaces are great with plenty of area to enjoy the wooded landscape.

This was our second stay on KI. The location is great and close to the beach. The cottage was well appointed and included almost everything we needed for the week. Akers Ellis is awesome. Their constant communication and follow up can't be beat. Love the Akers Ellis team and going direct saves a lot of money which is a plus. The pool for this area of the resort is serviceable but small compared to other area. Would definitely recommend this cottage and Akers Ellis.

Kiawah Island was my families vacation spot as a child, my parents loved Kiawah, year after year. Sparrow Pond Cottages was one of our frequented stays. I wanted to give my children and wife the Kiawah Island experience I remembered as a child, its been 30+ years. Well, we give Kiawah Island and 1030 Sparrow Pond Cottage full marks. We had an extremely easy check in and check out experience. The property description was exactly as described for location, layout, amenities, etc. The cottage property was clean, well maintained and accurate upgrades. We enjoyed bike rides, tennis, crabbing and fishing, dolphin watch, fishing charter, The Sanctuary and market. Although we did not golf, the courses looked awesome and wonderfully maintainedwell have to include our next visit. So much has changed yet remained the same wonderful vacation destination. New home building on the island was just beginning as I recall. And yet nothing has changed with the quiet, beautiful charm of Kiawah Island. Fresh Fields was an absolute delight within a quick drive. sure didnt have anything like that as a kid. We would recommend to a friend or relative and plan to return to Kiawah Island soon.

This property was ideally located for us for running the Kiawah Island Half Marathon. It was walking distance from a shuttle that took us right to the start and then back to the property at the end of the race. We had a nice cozy stay on a cold weekend.

Our family of 5 had plenty of room in this cottage. Loved the location - biked or walked to the beach everyday. The pool was a few steps away; groceries a short drive or bike ride; Mingo Point oyster roast was easy for everyone to bike to; plus fishing and restaurants at Bohicket just a short drive away. We didn't miss the amenity cards - we had everything we needed so close. Easy to check in and check out - would definitely rent from Akers next time we are in Kiawah. Awesome experience!

The rental was clean and spacious. the kitchen had plenty of supplies, glasses, cups dishes pots and pans etc... The rental looked like the pictures there was a guest books with information regarding the Island and the surrounding area. We would recommend this property! We had a great time!

The cottage was in a great location. Close to the straw market, beach and community pool. It was a spacious cottage, yet quaint and quiet. Updated interior was nice. Very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

After regular visits to Kiawah over the last 27 years, this is the first time we have rented from Akers Ellis and only the second time staying in this location on the island. Things could not have been better. The 'beach cottage' was exactly as pictured and the perfect place to host a group of 3-6 people. The decor was lovely and the modern, open redesign of the cottage was great for spending time together. It was a real bonus to have 3 usable deck areas that followed the sun throughout the day. Kiawah never disappoints and I feel the same way about Akers Ellis rentals. This place will not disappoint! (As an aside....any questions I had at any time of day were responded to almost immediately by the Akers Ellis contact....wonderful service).

Perfect location. Nice amenities in house but bathrooms need a little work. The pedestal sink in front bathroom is very loose and bathtub and surrounding tile didn't look clean (mold/mildew). Also faucet in kitchen needs some work. But overall a great place.

-- Cleanliness left a little to be desired; it appears as though the house is wiped down between renters, but it needs a more thorough cleaning (hairs, dust bunnies, under furniture, etc)

We have visited Kiawah many, many times and love it. This rental was nice and in a good location. It was clean and attractive. It was lacking a few things such as it only had 2 TVs. Most rentals have one in each bedroom. The kitchen was also not very well stocked...lacking serving bowls and enough coffee mugs and things like that. Also the bed in the back bedroom was very saggy. My husband and I keep rolling to the center.
