Beautiful condo/beach stay! Will be coming back. All the gardens on island are immaculate. Spanish moss trees over hang the road as we drove onto island made it look like a Nicolas Sparks book. Condo was perfect size for just the 2 of us.

Really enjoyed our first time to Kiawah Island & the location of this rental was perfect for us. Beautiful view of the beach & beach access were most important to us. Perfect location!! Helpful rental staff. Quick response to a TV issue. Able to check in a bit early without problems. Clean villa. Kitchen needed a few more items, like a can opener. I was concerned with the lack of cell service. Phone land line was "searching for service". My cell carrier was spotty. Thankfully we didn't need to contact EMS. Shipwatch is such a great place to rent. Very safe, clean, inviting.

The property is near the entry to Kiawah, so it is easy to get to it. Walking the beach sand was so easy and close, the boardwalk was clean and seemed new. We always found parking in the Shipwatch parking lot.

Beautiful ocean view condo with fully stocked kitchen, balcony off the bedroom and living room-right next to the beautiful Cougar’s Point golf course...we golfed one day. Biked the beach and trails. Easy to get around. Very secure - they definitely check parking passes when you come onto the island!

2269 is a nice place especially in mid September. like renting from AK and have been coming to kiawah for almost 30.
bed in 2269 reminds me of my first apartment where it rolls you to the middle. finally got a new mattress before my back was shot. :-)

This was a quick last minutes escape from months of toil. For two the unit was fine. The bed had indentations where folks had slept and could be changed out but was ok. Location is close to beach and was quiet during our stay. Note: they are building a new clubhouse for Cougar golf course and construction makes it easy to miss parking lot for unit. Sign is easily missed especially in the dark.

The pre-delivered beach items by vay-k was very handy and in great shape. This time of year before school let’s out was great. Very calming and no crowds at all.
Just what we needed after months of work on several projects.

The entire process of booking, check-in, check- out was easy. The unit was as described and in as expected shape. Don’t get me wrong it was fine but some wear is beginning to show. Perhaps a new mattress and tightening up the bathroom faucets.

What a great trip to Kiawah! The Shipwatch rental was all we had hoped for and more. Quiet, clean, and a very short walk to the beach. If you are looking to relax and enjoy Kiawah this place was wonderful for me and my wife who are recent "empty nesters". I would highly recommend!

This is our 4th Kiawah vacation but first condo rental. Beautiful views, well decorated condo just steps from the beach. Only minor issues but none earth shattering: no wine opener, bedroom balcony door would not open. Surprisingly quiet except for one night when the kids staying above us decided to stomp and run around their condo.

I will follow up with the property manager as to why it did not make it to the property during the turn over. Those check-in days can be a bit overwhelming, as you can imagine! My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. It was just as advertised. A bit smaller than the previous places weve rented on Kiawah which were further in on the island, but the beach access made up for it. Elevator is short walk out the door and then straight ahead to the beach boardwalk. It is very adequate for a couple. Easy access to bike trails. We ate in a couple nights and visited the golf resort restaurants the other nights which were all very good. The kitchen had most everything we needed, except a wine opener! We left our 2 beach chairs that we purchased, for the next renters to enjoy. There were ample towels provided. The outdoor chairs could use a good scrubbing, but were ok. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return.

This unit is located in an older building, however the condo itself has had some updates. It is extremely convenient to the boardwalk/beach access, which was great! It's located on the second floor, and it has great views (and sounds!) of the ocean. The unit was clean enough- some of the furniture was a bit dusty, and the patio chairs could use a good scrubbing, but the kitchen and bath were fine. (One thing to note- this building's elevator and halls had a very strong musty smell. And that smell was in the condo some as well. It was noticeable enough that I am surprised it had not been mentioned in any of the reviews I read before booking this place. If you have allergies, it would be something to consider.)

Kiawah is a beautiful island. We loved biking on the 30 miles of paved bike trails. Our condo was clean but very dated. It was located in a very convenient location and had a nice view of the ocean. Overall we had a great trip.

Beautiful condo with a wonderful view. Bedroom was very spacious and I loved the high king bed. Walk in shower was easily accessible. The kitchen was easy to cook in which we did often. Kinda scarce on the condiments. Overall we loved the place.

My husband and I have made a yearly trip to Kiaweh this time of year for about four years. This unit was one of our favorite - very well appointed and right on the beach. In addition, I cannot say enough about how the company handled the upcoming hurricane. We were asked to evacuate early and they have also offered to pay for any unused nights. It looks like the brunt of the hurricane will not be there thankfully, but I really appreciate that they put their guests safety first.

Great condo and location. Have stayed 5-6 times in 2269. Condo clean and comfortable. Shipwatch has always been quiet and relaxing. Love easy access to beach. If there is a downside it is lack of a pool for the complex. We use to enjoy walking next door to the hotel and the pools with great lunches, refreshments etc. times have changed.

We are never disappointed with Kiawah! Coffee on the balcony while watching deer emerge from the thicket on the dunes, dolphins playing in the waves is unbeatable! We slept well on a very comfy bed. Though the sofa was somewhat uncomfortable, everything else exceeded expectations. The villa is pristine and lovely, the views are spectacular and the mirrored wall in the main living area is brilliant, giving us an even broader view of the Atlantic. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our visit began with a little le confusion about door entry code, but property management was responsive with timely help. The villa was clean except for bathroom rug, but overall acceptable condition. Management provided a clean rug, additional bathroom supplies, and complimentary coffee. Location of villa was convenient, close to elevator, and easy access to beach. Short walk to beach. Nice water view. Quiet. Peaceful. Enjoyed using Wi Fi and watching Hallmark movies. Loved riding bikes on beach. Will visit again! Kiawah is a special place.

For a beachfront unit, a more cheerful, light color scheme for the furniture and curtains would help. The mirror wall makes the room seem much larger and projects a panoramic view of the ocean.

We were very satisfied and happy with everything except for a couple things that nothing to do with the wonderful service that was provided. The sleeper sofa was a bit uncomfortable and the heater was a little noisy. We enjoyed the beach and the ocean views from the great panorama that we had by sitting in the living room. Overall we liked that place so much because of the views and the way it is set up and it is just perfect for our smaller family now. Overall experience from booking vacation rental to last day on Kiawah was very good. What you advertise is what we got, not dissapointed in any way. One day the water to building was off and we greatly appreciated the attention to detail by having a note left on our door advising us of when we could expect water to be turned back on. Trying to get our laptop running was our only issue. Hope to be back again soon and would use Akers again.

Pictures do not do justice. Unit was clean with great ocean views and short walk to beach. Loved watching the dolphins swim offshore and shrimp trawlers every morning from the balcony. Very private location and was really quiet. King bed was spacious and very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked and enjoyed cooking fresh shrimp we bought from Cherry Point Seafood Co. Spent a day in Charleston and drove to Edisto Beach for a day trip shelling. Riding our rented bikes on beach to the point where we saw dolphin stran feeding was fabulous. Highly recommend condo for both location and ease of renting transaction. Can't wait to come back to Kiawah and will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A few things. Couch in living room was very uncomfortable. We were constantly readjusting the seat cushions. AC ran none stop as it was a VERY hot week. AC is quite noisy especially at night when it's too hot to open windows.
Obviously the heat was out of anyone's control. Hope to come back to Kiawah soon!

The Apartments location is awesome, great view of the ocean and just steps to the beach. The inside is very nicely updated and equiped. One thing that could be changed is the way the refrigerator door swings open. We will definately recommend the apartment to others.

Beautiful well decorated and well stocked Condo just steps away from the beach. Walk next door to the straw market for dinner, ice cream, or supplies. 2nd time staying here

Shipwatch Villas is very close to the beach and Freshfields Village is about a 5 min. bike ride away (the village shopping center with groceries, restaurants, great stores).
This property needed some new beach chairs and comforter for the king size bed, but other than that, the property was in good condition.

I was very impressed with the condo. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Also,the grounds surrounding it were beautiful, and you could tell they were well taken care of. I was also impressed with how clean the laundry and trash areas were. I would return!
