This property and its location is spectacular. We stayed close to the house for the most part because my son couldn’t get enough of the pool. The area is quiet and the house is fantastic. Lots to do between pool, beaches, or venturing further into Charleston. We will definitely be back again.

We enjoyed our stay at 258 Governors Drive. Went for fall break. Great location. Short drive or bike ride to the beach. House was giant and clean and very bright.

House was as advertised , clean ,in a good location and was big enough for our family of 7 even with 4 of them working from home while we were there . It backed onto the 7th hole of Osprey golf course and it was so nice sitting outside in the undercover porch even when it rained .
A couple of things that need improving on is the outside patio furtniture was way past its best which was a shame because the furniture inside the house was of good condition . Although the kitchen had plenty of dinner plates and silverware it wasn’t very well stocked if you wanted to cook a family meal .

This home was a perfect place to spend a week with our 2 teenage girls and their grandparents. The layout is great and the home is spacious and comfortable. The location is also Terrific to walk or ride bicycles. The pool is also so nice to have. It is not heated but despite cool temps, we still enjoyed floating in it. The backyard gets great sun during day so even in cooler temps it felt warm laying outside. Would definitely recommend this home through Akers Ellis. Their customer service is the very best.

This was a beautiful house with huge rooms (and a ton of light switches!). Very clean and well-maintained. We loved the close proximity to the beach path. We had 2 maintenance issues: 1) we requested that the pool be heated (which is the main reason we booked the house) but we were notified on day of arrival that it wasn't working. Said they'd send someone out to look at it but no one ever came. Kids were very disappointed. 2) the air conditioner in part of the house wasn't working. Again, they said they'd send someone out immediately to look at it but no one ever came.
Aside from that, great trip. Kiawah is one of our favorite places.

Beautiful home! Very comfortable! Just like pictures! Wonderful pool! So thankful for Akers Ellis! GREAT management team - so responsive! We used to rent via VRBO - but renting from Akers Ellis was cheaper - AND we get free bike rentals! I would highly recommend renting through them!!
The only thing worth noting about this house - is the kitchen was NOT a stocked kitchen...bare bones for cooking - and because of COVID we ended up eating at the house. Also - no serving dishes. There were some in the cabinets with notes saying “Do not use these!”
However, the house was so lovely - We would stay there again - and just know we have to bring items from home.

Great house for our party with was 5 adults and 2 kids. One floor, no stairs great for kids. Two negatives - 1) the bike package company. VacKgear - not very consumer friendly. Almost impossible to get on the phone. Would not accommodate an early return. 2) Pool was not clean the entire wee, nor when we arrived - even though we paid $75 per day to have it heated.

We would have been happy to send the pool company over if we were notified during your visit that there was an issue. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip to Kiawah. We have been traveling to Kiawah for the past twelve summers and this was one of the best rental homes for our family of four. House was comfortable and clean, had a great layout and all the amenities. We especially loved the pool! Great location and quick bike ride to the beach. Akers Ellis is so easy to work with. The beach gear credit they provided was an extra bonus! We would rent this home again!

The house on Governors Drive was a very nice house. The house was ready on time and was very clean. The pool was an added bonus for a small child and was well maintained. I young gentle came twice that week to make sure it was clean and ready. Look forward to renting this house again next year.

what's not to love about this home? it's in a great location, plenty of trees on the property giving you the feeling of isolation from neighbors. the house is spacious and has a great floor plan. the kitchen is well stocked, the beds were comfortable and we were minutes away from the beach. the management company was easy to work with and very responsive. we had no issues during our stay and the saddest part was, we had to leave. we hope to come back again.

This house is beautiful. Inside & outside. The master suite is huge. The kitchen is great, very functional. Especially when you have more than 1 cook in the kitchen. All the dishes and cooking items you need. It was a family vacation. Adults loved it. One child was 2 years and the other 8 months. Able to rent good clean cribs. House was very clean. The house backs up to a golf course. But there were palm trees blocking people being able to look. Grill-one day a man came to replace the gas tanks on the grill. Short distance to Charleston. Son in law loved the golf courses. He had his clubs shipped to him. The grocery store is very reasonable. The meat was wonderful. There are 2 check points to get to Governors Drive. So always felt safe. Plenty of towels. The master shower has temperature controlled water. We had a question one day. Left message and received a call back very soon. Reasonable in price for all of the location and all of the amenities. The little town square was so cute and inviting. Everyone in town, the restaurants and the grocery store were very nice. We would all definitely recommend this house.

The house is beautiful and even bigger than it seems in pictures. Lots of space to spread out, especially in master bedroom. Master closet is huge and perfect for a baby in pack n play or younger child on spare twin mattress which was included in guest room closet. All rooms had great closet space, enough for a pack n play. Akers Ellis was amazing- the app was so convenient and they were very responsive to needs, even on a holiday weekend.

We loved the house with all the majestic features. The kitchen was large and the dining table was fantastic for our large group. The pool was perfect for the warm afternoons and the outside furniture was top of the line. There was an issue with some of the amenities not working but it didn't stop us from having a great time.

We had a lovely time in Kiawah. The rental is quite large and very well equipped. The location is on a busy street but minimal noise. The house is in a great location to bike to the Sanctuary or the Osprey Club House. We had a fantastic week and hope to return next year!

Pictures don't do this beautiful home justice. From the gourmet kitchen to the spa retreat master bath to the fantastic private pool, this home is an 11. Perfect for family and/or if you have an elder person with you. The elevator makes it just so much easier for them to get in or out. We can't wait to book this home again!!
Home is a beautiful short bike ride to the beach.

An absolutely gorgeous house in a prime location on the island. Easy access and exit, close to the golf courses and the market at East Beach. The house was clean and the furniture in very nice shape. Kitchen was well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, glasses and accessories. The bedrooms were as pictured. A bonus was each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The pool was the perfect size to cool off in. Entrance to the house from the garage made hauling the luggage easy. Wow, the shower in the main bedroom had fantastic water pressure, aside from being nicely appointed. The large screen HDTV in the family room was a hit. Comfortable seating to watch golf after playing golf. I will say this, though, I don't think I've ever seen as many light switches as I saw in this house! We will be back. We will rent this house again.

This home is very spacious and beautiful. It is impeccably clean with high quality appliances and furnishings. We enjoyed our walks throughout the community and along the beach. We especially enjoyed riding bikes along the beach at low tide (rental bikes available at Night Heron Nature Center). Akers Ellis were professional and the reservation process was extremely easy!

We stayed in this home for our family vacation last week. The stay overall was amazing. The house is beautiful and clean. The rooms were large and our family of 5 adults and 2 children still had tons of room to move around. We visited Charleston, about 40 mins away. There is a beach on Kiawah Island and my grandchildren had the best time there! I would absolutely recommend this property and Akers Ellis did a great job. The thing I would not recommend, and I'm so sorry I spent the extra money on it, was the pool. It's not heated like they said it would be. The pool water was cold. I tried to take my 2 year old grandson in it while we waited for dinner to cook & he shivered. It was not heated at all and that was on day 3 of it being heated! I was extremely disappointed. To pay a daily fee of $75 for 3 days worth of a heated pool, that wasn't, was a waste of money for us. So, I would highly recommend this home & I hope my family will be able to visit again next year, but we will NOT pay for the heating of the pool. Overall, we loved this home!
