Lauren Moniz is a Charleston native, Property Manager, and REALTOR® with Akers Ellis Real Estate & Rentals, where she helps buyers, sellers, and property owners across Kiawah Island, Johns Island, and greater Charleston. She specializes in Kiawah Island real estate sales, vacation rental property management, and renovation project management, connecting clients with trusted local vendors.

Lauren grew up spending summers at her family's beach house on Kiawah Island, where she developed a lifelong connection to the coast and the community that calls it home. Her career began in the restaurant industry, working from a young age at her father's Chick-fil-A, the 13th location in the nation. Over the following 20 years, she worked in the family business and with Chick-fil-A Corporate, opening new locations, leading marketing efforts, and training teams.

In 2012, Lauren founded Serve! Catering and Events, a Charleston-based company specializing in weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events. When the pandemic slowed the events industry in 2020, she joined The Citadel as Director of Retail Restaurant Operations, overseeing five on-campus restaurant concepts, including a Chick-fil-A and two Starbucks locations.

Real estate had been a longtime interest of Lauren's since high school. In 2023, she earned her real estate license and joined Akers Ellis Real Estate & Rentals, where she now works full-time with buyers, sellers, and vacation rental owners on Kiawah Island and throughout the Charleston area. Lauren combines two decades of hospitality and service experience with lifelong local knowledge of Kiawah Island, giving her clients a real estate experience built on responsiveness and genuine care.
