Rick was born in Youngstown, Ohio. During his middle school years, his family relocated to Summerville, South Carolina. It was in these formative years that Rick developed a deep appreciation for the South, particularly the Lowcountry. His introduction to real estate came through his mother, who became a licensed agent in Summerville. In 1982, Rick and his family moved to the New Orleans area, where he spent the next 21 years. He grew to love the New Orleans Saints, spicy crawfish, and other Creole delicacies. During this period, Rick graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a B.S. in Finance. Early in his professional career, he excelled as a top producer in the financial securities industry, advising clients on investments and building trust with them.

Rick obtained his real estate license in 2006. He enjoys meeting new people, listening to their wishes, and helping them to identify the best property to meet their needs. Over the past two decades, he has gained extensive experience with rental investment properties and purchasing real estate for renovation and resale. Consistently a top producer at his previous real estate company, Rick also acquired experience managing agents and running a company focused on property rehabilitation. His vast experience gives him the special ability to understand complex real estate situations and convey options clearly to his clients, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable with their transactions.

Rick and his wife, Kathleen, along with their Great Dane, Rosie, reside in a circa 1880 historic house in downtown Summerville. They enjoy golf, tennis, and spending time at their vacation home on Seabrook Island. Rick and Kathleen have four children: Alyssa, Dawson, Ryan, and Shane. As a family, they enjoy traveling together and recently purchased a vacation home in Portugal.
