This is probably a well-known fact, but realtors are a competitive bunch. However, our Akers Ellis team is taking it beyond real estate this coming Sunday! If you’ve never heard of the Kiawah Island Triathlon (or Tri-Kiawah), it is a USAT-sanctioned intermediate competition made up of a 0.7-mile swim, 25.1-mile bike, and 6.1-mile run.
Our Akers Ellis team is up for the challenge! We will have five different teams participating in the Kiawah Island Triathlon. One of our founding partners, Steven Ellis, along with his wife Molly, will be taking on the entire course individually. Additionally, we have three relay teams participating, made up of Akers Ellis employees.
Steven Ellis says, “I’ve participated in a few other events this year, so for the Kiawah Triathlon I decided to challenge the Akers Ellis team to push themselves. Several employees not participating are still coming, just to support our teams. It’s proven to be a great team-building experience.”
This year’s triathlon registration is now closed, but the 2015 Tri-Kiawah will be held September 20, 2015. It’s never too early to start training!
