Mahjong Open Play returns to Café Eugenia at Freshfields Village on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Hosted in partnership with Island Mahj Society, this social afternoon is designed for experienced players looking to enjoy friendly competition, practice their skills, and connect with other Mahjong enthusiasts in a welcoming setting near Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island.

This event is open to players familiar with American Mahjong using NMJL rules. Guests should bring their 2025 NMJL card, and all other materials will be provided. Please note that this is open play, not a lesson, and prior Mahjong experience is required. Tickets are $30 per person and include two hours of open play plus a complimentary glass of wine or coffee beverage. Space is limited to 12 guests.

Located at Café Eugenia in Freshfields Village, this event offers a fun way to spend the afternoon while enjoying one of the Lowcountry’s favorite gathering places for shopping, dining, and community events.
