Kiawah Island Marathon

The Kiawah Island Marathon returns for its 48th annual race on Saturday, December 12, 2026. Runners can choose between the full marathon or half marathon, both offering a memorable course through one of South Carolina’s most beautiful barrier island communities.
The race begins at 8:00 AM and starts and finishes in West Beach Village. Along the route, participants will pass maritime forests, marsh views, island roads, and grand Kiawah homes, creating a race experience that feels distinctly coastal from start to finish.
Both the marathon and half marathon courses are certified and sanctioned by USA Track & Field, and the full marathon serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. 35th Annual Reindeer Run

Participants can enjoy a cheerful morning in the Holy City with holiday costumes, community fun, and a lively downtown race atmosphere.
